Projects for Youth in the Steel Industry

Vocational schools and universities to create lasting relationships

Several projects have young people as players, with the intention of offering them the opportunity to relate to the world of work and, specifically, to the steel sector, of which the Group is one of the most highly established in Italy.

Curricular apprenticeships and alternating school-to-work programmes are offered annually to students from vocational high schools, as well as guided school visits to the Group's company sites.

In collaboration with the University of Brescia and the Milan Polytechnic, opportunities have been opened for curricular and extra-curricular traineeships with national and international individuals and professionals, as well as the opportunity to develop dissertation and PHD (doctoral) projects over a five-year period.

In addition, some of our staff members attend both universities and companies for vertical courses in specific technical topics.

Supporting young people to build the future

The Da Vinci 4.0 project, organised by Giornale di Brescia, The Fab Lab and Talent Garden bringing schools and companies together, is one of the events that Alfa Acciai is sponsoring in 2024.

A unique opportunity for young people to take part in the themed technology challenge (hackathon) that rewards the most creative and high-performance prototype. With a focus on technology and digital hardware and software innovation, Da Vinci 4.0 aims to convey a digital culture to young people and create skills that will help them to face the world of work.

Alfa Acciai was actively involved in initiatives and events, such as Smart Future Academy, a project targeting schools with workshops and interacting with speakers selected by a Scientific Committee, and Futura Expo focusing on the theme of business sustainability involving families, students and personalities from the institutional, production, cultural and entrepreneurial world.
