Welfare Platform: a further opportunity for employees

The conversion of performance bonuses into welfare services is nowadays an increasingly adopted tool, even among steel and manufacturing companies, to promote a non-monetary access to the bonuses. 

For Alfa Acciai, this is a significant step toward an improved, more diverse and efficient management of the performance bonuses that contributes to develop a stronger relationship between the company and the employees. It is also another way to protect and share with them the company positive results. 

The platform, which was adopted following an agreement with the company trade union representatives, allows to convert the 2022 performance bonus into a series of services and goods in the field of education, health assistance, sport, cultural and leisure activities.  

For the employees, the upside is twofold: if converted, the bonus can be spent for its full amount, without being taxed. Furthermore, the agreement establishes a growing additional percentage (5 to 10%) of the total amount for the full or partial conversion.
